Versiti Blood Center saw a significant decline in donations during the holiday season, and the downward trend continues into the new year.  Unfortunately, the need for blood does not take a holiday, and we have seen an uptick in ER room visits and trauma patients requiring mass blood transfusions, decimating the blood supply.

Versiti provides 70% of the blood and blood products in the state of Indiana.  To maintain a safe blood supply, we need to see 2,900 donors every week.
